Material Culture
This is called"Kimono"
We wear this at formal situations.
For example, when people turns 20 year-old, they wear kimono and celebrate.
Non material culture
This is what I like about Japanese culture that people have self discipline.
This picture is when the massive earthquake hit Japan. People made a line to purchase daily goods. This is a standard for us to think others especially when we are in difficulty.
At the station, They form straight line.
Cultural Shock
They never form straight line.
Norm
All the cellphone should be on Vibration in the train. No talking on the phone. And near the priority seat, cellphone should be off considering of people who use pacemaker.
Language
We use three characters.
"Hiragana, Katakana, Kanaji(Chinese character)"

Folkways
This is called " Ozoni". Each area has different taste and a way to make this soup following group customs. We eat this on new year.
Ideal Culture
Elder people believe in "Bushido" which is based on " Samurai sprit "

Real Culture
Young people are more free to express themselves compared to the past.
These people gather at specific area and share their hobbies.
Cultural Object
Most Japanese people have PS3 as a DVD player.
Blu-ray is popular in Japan therefore, even if people don't use this as a game machine, many households have PS3.
Behavior
This is very common behavior in Japan.
Bow means that express "respect, appreciation,apology" We do this for mostly elder people or someone new.
